Jack's Success Story

Jack is a single dad of two children. His son is in Middle School and his daughter in elementary school. Both children have difficulty respecting and obeying their father. They had been in several shelters before coming to Care Corps. There were many barriers facing Jack and his family, which included transportation, employment, better parenting skills, and obtaining medications for Jack without insurance.

During their stay here, Jack worked diligently to learn the love and logic parenting program offered. He even met one-on-one with the Life Skills Coordinator. Although he has a long way to go, Jack made solid steps toward better parenting.

Through the use of Care Corps on-site therapist, Jack made arrangements for private counseling for his kids and also had his son evaluated for possible seizure activity with a local neurologist.

His income tax return afforded him the ability to purchase a vehicle, get his license back, and have enough money for obtaining stable housing. In the process he also landed a management job with a local business.

Jack and his children left Care Corps after 2 ス months will every identified barrier resolved. He and his family moved to a small community near Fremont that affords them access to school within walking distance for them and is a short commute to job for Jack.

Care Corps and the services offered made a huge difference!
